The IT Business Analyst II plays a key role in advancing the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's mission to provide high-quality, accessible education while supporting strategic priorities that foster student success, community engagement, and operational excellence. This role conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align information technology (IT) solutions with business initiatives. Prepares functional, system, and program specifications. Holds a higher level of technical skills and application in their work, variation in activities, longer-term work, latitude to apply skills to solve routine problems without review, and some latitude to devise the approach and method to performing assignments. Performs routine work without supervision, seeking assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise.

Supports the design & development, enhancement, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of Information Technology systems and software, including those enhanced by AI.Provides IT business analysis, business process improvement and/or automation, recommendations & guidance, project management, system administration, configuration, technical & functional support, issue resolution, documentation & training, and/or reporting.Acts as a liaison between other IT staff, functional staff, and/or vendors.May serve as a primary IT contact for specific departments or divisions.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs project management tasks in support of the design & development, enhancement, implementation, maintenance, and documentation for Salesforce and other IT business systems and services.
  • Salesforce Business Analysis, System Administration & Technical/Functional Support
    • Perform system administration, including Access Control and User Provisioning
    • Analysis and Implementation of Process Automation, including creating/updating flows and formulas used in flows
    • Support AppExhange Integrations, including Blackthorn and Form Assembly
    • Troubleshooting and issue resolution
    • Opening and managing support tickets with vendors
    • Supporting Data Loading, including Data Import Wizard and Data Loader
    • Assess impact of software changes (as delivered in patches, fixes and upgrades) on existing business processes and coordinate testing and implementation of relevant changes

Compensation:

Compensation Range of $65,300 to $70,000. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Project management skills, including experience with project planning and timelines
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to formulate and implement practical solutions to complex problems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Salesforce to support business requirements, process improvements, and system enhancements
  • Experience with Salesforce system administration, automation, implementation, integration, and support
  • Experience with system administration of a major information system or software application
  • Experience in a higher education environment
  • Information technology experience including researching, developing, implementing, maintaining and integrating information system software applications
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance data analysis, automate routine tasks, and uncover deeper insights that inform strategic decision-making and improve operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and proven ability to manage complex tasks, large and small, often more than one at a time within tight timeframes with broad supervision
  • Experience with the development of documentation and/or training materials
  • Experience working in a customer service environment
Conditions of Appointment:

Occasional weekend or evening hours. Occasional travel in state and out of state for meetings and professional conferences.

This position may have the option to work on-campus or a hybrid schedule, subject to approved telecommuting request. The home campus of this position is Green Bay.

Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. Benefit Details

The Universities of Wisconsin provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. For benefits eligible positions, this includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately, and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The Universities of Wisconsin also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.

In addition, eligible employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually and paid parental leave. Eligible employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
