  • You will analyze witness statements, regulations, policies, and any other evidentiary sources.
  • You will determine whether the preponderance of the evidence substantiates the allegation.
  • You will receive incoming complaints or allegations regarding a wide range of possible conduct violations.
  • You will conduct a preliminary analysis to clearly define the specific allegations, and to identify a tentative course of action.
  • You will research laws, regulations, instructions, and local policies in order to determine applicability to the type of allegation, e.g., sexual harassment laws have different parameters than claims of fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • You will plan an in-depth investigation with the intent to ascertain objective facts pertinent to the cause and outcome of the incident.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting administrative investigations, to include evidence collection and analysis, interviewing and information gathering, and applying laws and regulations when writing investigative reports.
