Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for FIT/Wholesale, Agency/Consortia leisure business, Business travel and Government market segments. The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling FIT/Wholesale and Agency/Consortia leisure, Business travel and Government related opportunities with significant revenue potential. Works to develop, build and maintain long-term, value-based customer relationships in order to achieve personal and team related revenue goals. According to hotels need, the Area Transient Sales Manager can focus on all types of accounts or can specialize and focus on specific accounts. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provides service to our customers in order to grow the account. This role will work remotely with monthly visits to the properties and as needed for events, client visits, FAMs, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications: education, knowledge, training, and work experience:
• High school diploma or GED; 2 years' experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
• Sales and event management, preferably in the luxury resort market
• Computer knowledge including Excel, Word and Power Point
• Familiar with Delphi Sales and Catering Systems and PMS ideal
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, with other departments and interdepartmentally
• Organizational skills
• Must have positive mental attitude and stress management
Essential Job Requirements:
1. Must be able to exert physical effort in lifting 5 pounds to 50.
2. Push/Pull 50 + pounds
3. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
4. Remain in stationary and mobile position for at least 8 hours throughout work shift
5. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
6. Perform detail-oriented administrative tasks with accuracy and speed
