Job description

About the Company
The company is a well-established manufacturer of high-performance doors serving the manufacturing, cold storage, and pharmaceutical/life science industries. The company has built a strong reputation and established sales organization, particularly within the pharma/life science market.
The company is now entering an exciting new phase of growth with the launch of an IP-protected product line developed over the past six years. This high-visibility opportunity will play a key role in bringing the new product to market and expanding the company's reach.
About the Position
The Vice President of Sales will work directly with the CEO to develop and execute sales strategy, market positioning, and go-to-market plans for the company's next phase of growth.
Initially, this will be a hands-on sales leadership role, with the VP personally driving business development and sales for the new product line. As the business gains traction, this leader will build, hire, train, and manage a sales organization to scale the opportunity.
The ideal candidate is a strategic sales leader who is equally comfortable developing a market strategy, calling on customers and specifiers, closing business, and building a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CEO on sales strategy, market positioning, and go-to-market planning.
  • Personally drive early sales efforts for the new product line targeting manufacturing and cold storage.
  • Leverage existing industry relationships and contacts to accelerate market entry.
  • Support and help manage the existing pharma/life science sales team.
  • Build and scale a new sales organization as demand increases.
  • Develop pricing, channel, territory, and market strategies.
  • Build relationships with architects, engineers, specifiers, end users, and key accounts.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
  • Monitor pipeline, forecasts, market feedback, and sales performance.
  • Report directly to the CEO on sales strategy, progress, and market opportunities.

Requirements
  • Proven experience selling high-performance doors or closely related building products into manufacturing and/or cold storage markets.
  • Strong relationships within the manufacturing, cold storage, or related industrial sectors.
  • Experience working with architects, engineers, and other specifiers to get products specified into projects.
  • Demonstrated success as both a hands-on individual seller and sales team leader.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and coaching sales professionals.
  • Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where you will initially be highly hands-on.
  • Experience launching new products or entering new markets is strongly preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability and willingness to spend significant time in the field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, customers, specifiers, and end users.

Benefits
  • $200,000-$250,000 base salary.
  • Lucrative performance-based bonus tied to company and sales growth.
  • Remote position open to candidates throughout the United States.
  • Direct partnership with the CEO and significant influence over company growth strategy.
  • Opportunity to launch and build a sales organization around a proprietary, IP-protected product.
  • Significant long-term leadership and growth opportunity.
