What you'll do

We're excited to announce a dynamic opportunity for an International Senior Tax Manager to join our Tax team! This role offers the flexibility and convenience of fully remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States.

The International Senior Tax Manager will be heavily involved in all aspects of international tax for a global company operating in 80+ countries. This role will primarily include supporting the US international compliance of our domestic tax returns in collaboration with our co-sourced external tax provider, management of quarterly and year-end foreign provisions for income taxes (ASC 740), management of local country tax compliance for selected countries, tax planning and structuring initiatives, and business support projects.

You will join a talented and diversified tax team. We are seeking someone located either within commutable distance to our headquarters in Carlsbad, California OR remotely within the US. This role can be performed either fully remote or in a hybrid format. This role reports to the Senior Director, Global Tax. This opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes pride in their work, and is committed to excellence in every task.


The day-to-day
  • Lead the international components of the quarterly income tax provision, including calculation of BEAT, GILTI, Subpart F, FTCs, FIN 48 and other cross-border impacts on the effective tax rate.
  • Support external service provider in the preparation of all required US international tax compliance forms for foreign entities such as Forms 1118, 5471, 8858, and 8865.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of BEPS Pillar II (GLoBE) requirements.
  • Oversee calculation of jurisdictional effective tax rates and top-up taxes under GLoBE rules including quarterly safe-harbor calculations.
  • Responsible for local country management of foreign income tax compliance, tax audits, indirect tax, and provide tax focused support to business areas in designated countries with the support of external service providers and working with management and other business areas.
  • Provide technical support and planning for cross-border transactions, restructurings, and legal entity optimization initiatives
  • Monitor current international tax developments for potential implications to the company.
  • Research and analyze impact of enacted and potential law changes and prepare memos and action plans to support tax positions.

What you'll need
  • 10+ years experience in public accounting with preference working for a Big 4 Firm with significant US international tax compliance experience.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required. Master’s in Taxation a plus. Will also consider those with a law degree that have been focused in international tax.
  • CPA certification a plus.
  • Strong research and writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication skills.

Salary range
$150,500.00 - $237,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $187,000.00- $280,000.00/ annually
