Support Veterans throughout their healthcare journey by coordinating appointments, processing referrals, and maintaining the accurate information needed for timely access to care.

At International SOS Government Medical Services, you'll support healthcare programs that improve patient care and operational readiness across the U.S. and internationally. Founded in 1984, International SOS operates in more than 90 countries, delivering healthcare, medical assistance, emergency response, and workforce support services worldwide.

Job Description

This position is contingent upon contract award.

In this role, you'll provide remote scheduling and administrative support for Veterans receiving care through a coordinated healthcare network. You'll manage appointments and referrals, communicate with Veterans and healthcare providers, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely access to appropriate services.

This is an administrative and scheduling position and does not involve hands-on clinical care.

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement: Remote within 50 miles of Grand Junction, CO.

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8-hour shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, track, and manage appointments while completing required pre-appointment and follow-up communications.
  • Process and monitor referrals and coordinate authorized care with community healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, emergency-contact, and administrative information.
  • Review and process health records, electronic orders, referrals, appointment updates, faxes, and other documentation using required healthcare systems.
  • Respond professionally to calls and messages from Veterans, family members, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
  • Manage assigned work independently, meet established workload and timeliness expectations, protect confidential information, and escalate scheduling or system issues appropriately.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
  • At least six months of customer service experience.
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required.
  • Ability to successfully complete the required background screening, including a Public Trust determination.
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and occasionally bend, stoop, or lift up to 15 pounds.
Additional Information

Training and access will be provided for the healthcare scheduling and records systems used in the role.

Health & Welfare (H&W): Up to $5.09 per hour, in accordance with the Service Contract Act (SCA).
