Job description

The Opportunity
Tetra Tech is looking for a full-time Senior Environmental Project Manager with background and relevant experience as a geologist, environmental scientist, or environmental engineer to join our Cincinnati, Ohio office to provide support on various environmental projects throughout the mid-west, predominately within Ohio focused on work conducted under the Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP).

This position is based in Cincinnati, OH, but is also open to non-local applicants for remote work.

Position Summary
This position will support a variety of contracts, including federal, state, municipal, and commercial clients.  The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work successfully both independently and in team settings.

This position will support implementation and business development efforts for environmental projects including brownfield redevelopment; hydrogeological investigations; due diligence assessments; UST closure and corrective actions; and remedial actions.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
   Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
   Communicate and coordinate with project clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
   Manage Tetra Tech staff and project teams as part of successful project implementation.
   Prepare technical proposal and cost estimate documents, as well as technical report deliverables, including data evaluation, interpretation, and presentation.
   Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members.
   Analyze and forecast project revenue, margins and profitability.
   Establish, grow, and maintain client relationships.
   Contribute to business planning to identify opportunities to grow Tetra Tech's market share.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
   40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-Hour Refresher certifications
   10+ years of relevant work experience.
   Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and previous experience with completion and management of site investigations and remedial actions.
   Understanding of due diligence and brownfield redevelopment processes.
   Experience and knowledge of U.S. EPA, Ohio EPA VAP, and/or Ohio BUSTR.
   Must be able to conduct project site and client visits up to approximately, which could include overnight travel.
   Must possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
   Must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.

This position requires driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good standing is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous private or public sector client management and business development experience.
   Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer and/or Ohio VAP Certified Professional certifications.
   Asbestos and/or lead certification(s)

Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk around project sites in all types of terrain and be physically able to carry up to 35 pounds of equipment.
   Must be able to complete annual medical monitoring program.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors
Role responsibilities will require occasional project site and client visits up to approximately 10%, which could include overnight travel. 
   Site work may be completed outdoors within the U.S. during all seasons, including peak summer and winter conditions.

Additional Information
Work schedule (days, hours): Monday - Friday. Standard workweek may exceed 40 hours.
   Work locations (office, remote or hybrid): Office. Open to remote positions for non-local applicants.
   Travel requirements: Approximately 10% of the time for project visits and client meetings.

The Pay Range for this position is $80,000 - $140,000 per hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
