This role bridges strategic goals with operational execution, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, resource allocation, and coordinating diverse stakeholders. The Project Manager works with department leadership, faculty, and outside partners to ensure collaborative program design.Job Description:

Job Duties

  • Support the development of new programs, though initial operational implementation, as guided by department leadership.

  • Complete relevant applications as needed.

  • Collaborate with research support services to develop grant applications as needed for funding.

  • Collaborate with department leadership, and subjectmatter experts to define program objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and success measures.

  • In coordination with executive leadership and administration, develop comprehensive program plans, including milestones, resource requirements, and budgets.

  • Identify and evaluate operational, financial and organizational impacts associated with new programs.

  • Monitor progress to keep programs on track.

  • Coordinate with department leadership and external partners involved in program development, as applicable.

  • Design and document program workflows, policies, and procedures necessary for effective ongoing operation.

  • Prepare transition plans and documentation to support successful handoff to ongoing operations.

  • Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements to future program development initiatives.

Work Experience:

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
