Job description

Position Overview

Brightside Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a fully remote telehealth capacity. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide evidence-based mental health care to clients across the United States. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our mission of delivering scientifically-backed mental health services that prioritize both efficacy and empathy.

About the Organization

At Brightside Health, we believe that quality mental health care should be accessible, effective, and delivered with a human touch. Our innovative treatment model utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates self-guided video lessons and exercises to ensure our clients receive comprehensive support. With a focus on culturally responsive and compassionate care, we empower our LPCs to utilize their clinical skills in ways that create significant impacts in the lives of those we serve.

Work Environment

This remote telehealth position allows you to work comfortably from your own home while connecting with clients through secure video sessions. Our technology platform enhances the therapeutic experience with user-friendly tools, including an integrated electronic medical record (EMR) system that simplifies documentation and enhances client engagement. At Brightside, we prioritize a collaborative atmosphere, where counselors can share insights, strategies, and support one another within our thriving community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly live video therapy sessions using evidence-based protocols to assist clients in managing and overcoming a diverse range of emotional and psychological issues.

  • Collaborate closely with Brightside psychiatric providers and fellow counselors to develop comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment plans tailored to each clientโ€™s unique needs.

  • Utilize auto-administered symptom self-assessments and other progress tracking tools to monitor client outcomes and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within our secure counselor portal, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.

  • Engage with the Therapy Leadership Team for clinical consultations and ongoing support as needed to enhance your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with adults experiencing a range of mental health conditions, utilizing our evidence-based approaches to therapy. Our innovative Crisis Care Program, which treats clients at elevated risk for suicide, requires counselors to be equipped with advanced skills, including the option to become trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS). With a focus on supportive and solution-oriented care, your role will help clients navigate their challenges and achieve meaningful progress toward their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon, with a firm grasp on clinical competencies relevant to telehealth practice.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing clinical counseling services, preferably in a remote or telehealth setting.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in crisis intervention or working with clients facing suicidal ideations is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or other evidence-based practices tailored for remote delivery.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms, enhancing your ability to provide efficient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, depending on your experience and skill set. As part of the Brightside team, you will enjoy a supportive environment and access to comprehensive benefits, including:

  • Health insurance and malpractice insurance coverage, ensuring you are protected while providing care.

  • Flexibility to create your own schedule, allowing for work-life balance within a Monday through Sunday availability.

  • All billing support handled by our administrative teams, enabling you to concentrate fully on client care.

  • Access to state-of-the-art clinical tools, including artificial intelligence integration for better follow-ups and client check-ins.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Brightside Health, we are committed to your professional development. You will have the chance to participate in weekly consultation sessions with leadership and attend monthly continuing education opportunities (CEUs) at no cost. Our culture of learning and support ensures you have access to resources that enhance your skills and expand your clinical practices.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Brightside means being part of an organization that prioritizes both the mental health of our clients and the professional satisfaction of our counselors. With an innovative approach that yields significant outcomesโ€”over 86% of our clients report feeling better within 12 weeksโ€”you can take pride in the meaningful impact you will have on the lives of others. If you are ready to contribute to a compassionate, science-backed approach to mental health care, we encourage you to apply today.
