Our team and what we'll accomplish together

The Forecasting, Performance and Planning team within Home Solutions Growth Marketing is building something new - and you'll be at the center of it. As a Senior Market Intelligence Manager, you'll be a founding force in establishing a brand new analytics function, shaping the tools, processes, and insights that inform our most senior leaders. Working at the intersection of data, strategy, and business performance, you'll collaborate across Finance, Sales, and Marketing to deliver intelligence that drives executive-level decision making at TELUS.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop a centralized key performance indicator (KPI) dashboard, integrating data across multiple datasets and stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights for both VP and working-level audiences
  • Partner with Finance Business Intelligence (BI), Sales Channel BI, and Marketing teams to align on data sources, definitions, and reporting standards across the organization
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines and visualizations that reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency across the team
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions, translating complex financial and operational data into clear, compelling narratives
  • Apply advanced SQL, GCP BigQuery, and data federation techniques to blend and manage large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards that bring data to life for a range of audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership
  • Bring curiosity and a proactive mindset to the data, continuously exploring new insights, identifying previously undetected trends, and championing opportunities to integrate predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities to evolve the team's analytical maturity over time

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, market intelligence, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering insights that drive strategic decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and GCP BigQuery, with hands-on experience in data federation, blending, and managing complex, multi-source datasets
  • Expert-level Tableau skills, including dashboard design, visualization optimization, and translating data into compelling stories for diverse audiences
  • Strong financial literacy, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data and integrate it into business performance reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity, with the confidence to build processes and documentation from the ground up in a new or evolving function
  • Exceptional communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple business functions, with strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • Goal-oriented thinker with a solutions-focused mindset and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Great-to-haves

  • Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI integration within a business intelligence or market intelligence context
  • Familiarity with telecom-specific metrics, sales channel data, or financial data within a large, matrixed organization
