The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst collects and analyzes data, identifies trends and anomalies - ultimately generating valuable insights. They will attend to enhancements and modifications in existing data pipelines and dashboards. This role also collaborates with stakeholders to develop analytical and technical requirements based on business processes. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in SQL and Excel, extreme attention to detail and a relentless desire to understand the data behind the processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements and complete data validation, helping to ensure the final solution meets or exceeds all business needs
  • Research data inquiries from our business partners within applications, on reports and dashboards
  • Provide ongoing timely support for existing BI solutions and processes, including enhancements, ad-hoc query and report requests, and bug fixes when needed.
  • Provide data-centric post-go-live support for new solutions and applications
  • Author and maintain complex queries, focusing on data accuracy, relevancy and performance
  • Create and enhance technical documentation for all BI solutions
  • Validate data coming into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and outbound integrations from the EDW.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS or BA in a field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or similar, or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, information technology, or a related field of data management
  • Proficiency in SQL querying and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Understanding of database concepts such as database structures, query languages, and data warehousing principles
  • Intermediate (or Advanced) experience with simple analytics tools, such as Excel
  • Possess a ridiculously high level of attention to detail, always meticulous and thorough throughout the data analysis process, ensuring accuracy in reporting and recommendations
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance operations and associated data
  • Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting information
  • Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, understanding of the attraction/hospitality industry,
  • Microsoft Azure, master data management/data governance
