POSITION SPECIFICS

The Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist (Intermediate Professional) to support analytics, reporting, and data-informed decision making within the Office of Prospect Management and Analytics.

The Office of Prospect Management and Analytics empowers gift officers and DDAR leadership with timely, accurate insights that support effective fundraising, prospect strategy, and engagement efforts. Through thoughtful analytics and research, the office contributes to the successful achievement of DDAR's philanthropic and engagement goals.

Reporting within Prospect Management and Analytics, the Business Intelligence Specialist will serve as a skilled analytical contributor, partnering with advancement leadership, development officers, prospect management staff, and colleagues across DDAR. This role is well-suited for a professional with demonstrated data visualization and consultative analytical skills to a customer focused, collaborative, mission-driven environment.

  • Support the development and delivery of reports, dashboards, and analyses that inform fundraising performance, prospect pipeline activity, portfolio management, and donor engagement

  • Access and analyze data from University and DDAR systems to answer business questions, identify trends, and support tactical and operational decision making

  • Design, build, and maintain user-friendly dashboards and recurring reports using established business intelligence tools and standards

  • Assist in the development and documentation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics aligned with DDAR goals and reporting needs

  • Write, test, and optimize scripts and data extracts to ensure accurate and reliable reporting in BI technologies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on analytical projects, data validation, and continuous improvement of reporting processes

  • Translate analytical outputs into clear compelling data visualizations for non-technical audiences, with guidance from strategic partners as appropriate

  • Provide support and training to end users on business intelligence tools, dashboards, and data literacy

  • Contribute to data quality, documentation, and standardization efforts to improve consistency and usability of advancement data

  • Stay informed about business intelligence and analytics tools in use at the University and apply best practices within the scope of the role

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $68,200.00 - $102,300.00.
