Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with us, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing mental health outcomes for your clients:

  • Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments of students to identify mental health needs, and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Administer various effective therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), ensuring these techniques are personalized to each studentโ€™s unique profile.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and all relevant regulations, ensuring all documentation supports quality care and accountability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and educators to provide a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Peer Consultation: Participate actively in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to improve service quality and share best practices.
  • Education and Support: Serve as a reliable resource for patients and their families by providing education about mental health issues, therapy options, and community resources that can assist them beyond clinical interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents within the school system. You will work with diverse populations, crafting tailored interventions that respect and respond to cultural differences and backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy provision.
  • In-depth knowledge of solution-based and evidence-based interventions applicable to children and adolescents.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering trust and rapport with students and their families.
  • Proficiency in managing caseloads effectively and adhering to professional ethical standards.
Preferred Experience
