The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a variety of key tasks that contribute to client wellness and organizational effectiveness, including:

• Conducting psychosocial assessments and creating tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
• Implementing treatment strategies under clinical supervision while maintaining high standards of ethical practice and confidentiality.
• Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions that encourage collaboration and support among participants.
• Documenting client progress in detail through comprehensive notes, including treatment plans, updates, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinating care by connecting clients with community resources and support services, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health.
• Maintaining ongoing communication with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, medical staff, and other providers, to ensure cohesive care for clients.
• Participating in staff meetings and continuous training to stay current on best practices in mental health counseling.

This position will primarily focus on clients grappling with various mental health challenges, including those related to perinatal mental health. Our diverse client base includes individuals facing anxiety, depression, and other emotional disorders. You will play a crucial role in supporting these clients by offering psychoeducation, therapy sessions, and ongoing follow-up consultations to help them achieve their mental health goals.

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Possession of a valid state-issued mental health counselor license (e.g., LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
• History free of Medical Malpractice Claims verified by a third party is mandatory.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in telehealth or outpatient settings, specifically involving perinatal mental health, are preferred. Familiarity with behavioral health compliance standards such as JCAHO, Medicaid regulations, and MHRS certification will be advantageous.
