Job description

Overview:
Corporate Tools is hiring a Sr. iOS App Developer for $150,000/year. You will be a traditional company employee. This is a remote position, but if you're near one of our local offices, you're welcome to come hangout with us in-office as well. Our main offices are in Post Falls, ID, and Spokane, WA; we also have satellite offices in Austin, TX, and Salt Lake City, UT. You'll be working 40 hours a week and, of course, enjoy great company benefits. At this time we are only able to support employees that are US residents. Sorry!
We run a number of business tool apps that help people at all stages of their business with various services and tools. From domains, phones, emails, business entity maintenance, business licenses, mail received on their behalf, etc. It's complex and we service millions of users. We run a second phone line app mostly for businesses but we fancy ourselves as the most private, encrypted way to send messages and do phone calls that exists. Think Whats App and Google Voice, but without it being free so the big evil corporations can get your meta data. Running a second phone line and keeping our users communications as private as possible on hardware that is meant to not provide any privacy to the user on infrastructure and telecommunications that are meant to not provide any privacy to the users is our largest challenge. But it's a war we firmly believe in.
We're on the hunt for a Senior iOS Developer who writes slick code and brings bold ideas to the table-someone who loves asking "what if we did it this way instead?" In this role, you'll shake things up (in a good way), introducing new tools, smarter workflows, and creative solutions that level up the entire team. You're constantly sharpening your craft-whether through passion projects, experimenting with new frameworks, or pushing boundaries in your day-to-day work-and you bring those learnings back to elevate everyone around you. You'll help us spot opportunities for improvement, rethink how we build, and keep our iOS app fresh and forward-thinking while mentoring others along the way. If you get a little thrill from improving everything around you, you'll fit right in.
Wage:
$150,000/year
Benefits:
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision for employees
  • Annual review with raise option
  • 22 days Paid Time Off accrued annually, and 4 holidays
    • After 3 years, PTO increases to 29 days. Employees transition to flexible time off after 5 years with the company-not accrued, not capped, take time off when you want
    • The 4 holidays are: New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Up to 6% company matching 401(k) with no vesting period
  • Quarterly allowance
    • Use to make your remote work set up more comfortable, for continuing education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for your coworker, a massage for yourself... really, whatever
  • Open concept office with friendly coworkers
  • Creative environment where you can make a difference
  • No dumb benefits like free dog walking on the weekends that snobby hipster places have to make you feel cool, but mathematically won't cost the company much money because you won't use it
  • Trail Mix Bar oh yeah

Responsibilities:
  • Develop exciting new mobile applications for iOS from the ground up
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate existing technologies (APIs) into a mobile application

Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or four years of related experience
  • 5+ years experience with designing, building, and maintaining complex mobile apps on iOS
  • Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, SwiftUI, and strong working knowledge of Swift 6 & Structured Concurrency
  • Strong XCTest / Swift Testing framework experience - unit, integration, and UI tests
  • Deep knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG)
  • Comfortable using GIT for version control - along with a decent level of GIT hygiene
  • You're pleasant person to work with
  • Experience developing new iOS mobile applications from the ground up, architecting and spearheading the development and full lifecycle of the application to the market
  • Experience leading other iOS engineers with mentoring, constructive code reviews, and career development
  • Experience building out CI/CD pipelines used for automatic deployment and testing of the application
  • Experience working with stakeholders and coming up with solutions to make things work well
  • Familiarity with Product organized companies and Product development lifecycles
  • Able to work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous integration
  • You are based in the United States (or similar time zone)
