**This position is based in Naples, FL. Remote optional for the right candidate. If remote, travel required to Naples headquarters quarterly for 1 week. Central or East Coast candidates only** 

Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Medical Education department based in Naples, Florida is made up of over 20 physicians, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals.  Arthrex is actively searching for a Data Analyst to join the Medical Education team. The successful candidate will work alongside a department of expert orthopedic healthcare professionals, world class faculty, and product management.

 

Main Objective:  

As a Data Analyst in the Medical Education Technology Division, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights. Collaborating with Medical Affairs and business partners, you will deliver critical insights and support data-driven decision-making. As a data analytics and visualization specialist, you will enhance data utilization through intuitive tools, dynamic dashboards, and advanced analytics, ensuring relevant information is efficiently gathered, shared, and interpreted. Join our team and contribute to shaping the future of medical education at Arthrex. 

The Data Analyst will support and participate in the planning and execution of data analysis efforts for Medical Education Technology programs. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with the Medical Education Technology Division and key stakeholders on data reporting and analytics needs. 
  • Develop data reports and BI/analytic solutions using platforms like Intellum, Planhat, Databricks, and PowerBI. 
  • Identify key drivers, trends, and patterns by analyzing KPIs and complex data sets. 
  • Continuously improve skills in software engineering, data analysis, and data visualization. 
  • Support key projects and critical activities for the Medical Education Technology Division. 
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality assurance and data validation. 
  • Document current processes and models to identify potential improvements. 
  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms using APIs, webhooks, and middleware tools. 
  • Translate business workflows into technical integration requirements, including data mapping, field definitions, validation rules, and sync frequency. 
  • Configure and support automated data flows between systems (e.g., UserPilot, Planhat, Intellum, Databricks), ensuring accuracy and reliability. 

 

Knowledge/Skills:

 

  • Basic knowledge and skills in data analysis, data visualization, and software development. 
  • Proficiency with data management platforms (Databricks), data analytics tools (PowerBI), customer platforms (Planhat), and learning technologies (Intellum). 
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and software engineering principles, theories, and standards. 
  • Good working interpersonal, oral, written, and business communication skills. 
  • Ability to function effectively as a secondary contact for internal project teams and external clients with guidance from senior staff. 
  • Good working organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Good working ability to prioritize and execute multiple concurrent tasks/projects on time, delivering quality results. 
  • Capability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Experience Education Required:

  • Basic experience managing and analyzing performance data in academic or non-academic organizations. 
  • Experience with PowerBI, Databricks, Intellum, and Planhat preferred. 
  • Experience with C++, Python, SQL, and JavaScript preferred. 
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams and subject matter experts preferred. 
  • Experience building reports and analytical tools for both technical and non-technical audiences preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or similar. 
  • Technical certifications or professional development related to AI, Data Analytics, or similar preferred.
