Job Description

Do you have knowledge of HVAC controls systems? IEI is an engineering solutions company with offices in Columbia, MD. IEI is seeking a skilled BAS engineer to support federal customers in the field of Building HVAC Control systems. This role will involve both travel and remote work.

Our client requires the expertise of a BAS engineer to conduct the following tasks:

BAS Preventative Maintenance (PM) services to include point-to-point checkouts, Investigating and troubleshooting BAS and HVAC systems within large federal facilities. Developing comprehensive service reports to include trip summaries, findings and proposed solutions. Conduct repair, modification and replacement of parts (including controllers) and software. Conduct upgrades to obsolete systems with limited support from manufacturer resources due to facilities being in remote locations. Provide training to facility engineers with limited BAS knowledge and training.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 5-years of experience supporting BAS maintenance, repair and replacement projects. Experience creating and modifying Building Automation System graphics, Third party integration via BACnet/Modbus protocol. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation technology. Experience applying concepts, principles, and methods for network connectivity (e.g., routing, switching, tunneling, and IP addressing). Ability to travel at least 40% internationally. Experience conducting work within federal facilities is preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
