  • Oversee monthly close process and internal financial reporting
  • Reconcile intercompany true-ups across business entities, including quarterly PIM-PSS allocations
  • Manage fixed asset records and depreciation
  • Support the year-end review and tax process with external accountants
  • Issue 1099s and oversee sales tax filings and monthly franchise revenue reporting

Payroll & HR Support

  • Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll (via TriNet)
  • Onboard new employees (I-9s, internal processes)
  • Coordinate with HR systems and assist with compliance

  • Monitor HR compliance

Compliance & Corporate Governance

  • Monitor and file property taxes, franchise taxes, estimated payments, and annual reports
  • Coordinate K-1 distributions and investor tax filings
  • Ensure full corporate compliance across all legal entities
  • Manage insurance audits and assist with claims as needed
  • Track and renew contractor licenses, bonding, and SAM.gov registration
  • Ensure Clean Hands certifications and similar compliance documents are filed as required by local jurisdictions
  • Handle miscellaneous paperwork and manage inbound financial or compliance-related correspondence

Financial Strategy & Analysis

  • Assist with pricing reviews and financial forecasting
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and trend analysis for company leadership
  • Lead quarterly financial review prep and custom insights

  • Improve documentation, internal controls, and process workflows
  • Implement fraud prevention and risk mitigation strategies

Vendor & Contract Oversight

  • Manage AP process and vendor records
  • Oversee contracts and lead the contract review process, coordinating with legal counsel when needed
  • Track certificates of insurance (COIs) and renewal timelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
  • 5โ€“10 years experience in small business accounting or Controller-level finance
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com
  • Familiarity with TriNet or similar payroll/HR platforms
  • Proven track record managing multi-entity financials and compliance
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Bonus: experience managing legal filings, contract review, or franchise/reporting structures

Work Environment & Growth Opportunity

While the role can begin with flexibility, the responsibilities are full-time in scope. We are looking for someone who is ready to step into a leadership position, grow with the company, and potentially take on greater CFO-level responsibilities over time.
