Job Description
We are currently hiring a full-time, Market Manager, Innovation for Denver, CO and the surrounding area.The ideal candidate will live in the Denver Metro Area or surrounding suburbs*.
The Market Manager for Innovation is integral in the successful launch and roll out of a new product. The role will serve as a liaison between the Sales force and Innovation teams to drive the distribution and retailer activation for an emerging brand to achieve key metrics needed to further expand. The Market Manager for Innovation regularly travels for meetings, trainings, and to service retailers and wholesalers within the assigned market.
*Please note that while this position is listed as "working remotely", our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
What You'll Brew:
  • Execute internal sales objectives & improve account conditions using BBC systems and selling processes
  • Learn and be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and BBC product styles
  • Hunt for new business opportunities while growing current business
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesaler, accounts, and coworkers, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations
  • Use internal and external data to plan and identify opportunities across the launch market
  • Build strong relationships with wholesalers and retailers by providing leadership and training across defined geography
  • Regularly benchmarking progress against the Goals, Strategies, Objectives and Tactics for the launch back to cross-functional partners and leadership
  • Manage budget for launch relative to sales initiatives
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly Planning & Review meetings to benchmark current progress to goal and sell BBC objectives
  • 80% Travel, mostly within the local market

What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4yr/Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and/or the food and beverage industry
  • Wholesaler management experience
  • Ability to build, grow, and maintain sales relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can work and partner effectively across multiple business units and teams
  • Ability and desire to travel to other markets as-needed for meetings and trainings

  • A driven individual with an entrepreneurial spirit

Level: 6
At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $80,000 and $123,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location*. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
