What you will do? 

As Account Manager, you'll own the customer relationship for programs in project launch and production for assigned accounts. You will lead communications and commercial execution for assigned accounts, balancing customer expectations with business objectives through strong account leadership, insuring timely and accurate quoting, proactive issue resolution, and reliable forecasting and reporting. 


Key Focus Areas


Account Retention & Organic Growth 

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to protect business, preserve margins, and support a healthy relationship with customers.
  • Support new business development leaders on assigned accounts, including new Request for Quotes (RFQs), proposal development, and commercial support.
  • Build strong multi-level customer relationships and identify key decision-makers.
  • Lead account reviews, customer visits to PMC, and satisfaction check-ins. 

Quoting, Estimating, & Pricing 

  • Own commercial activities across assigned accounts, including RFQs, pricing adjustments, and contract management.
  • Lead timely and accurate quoting, proposals, and cost estimates for launching programs and sustaining production changes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and Operations to validate feasibility, lead times, and margins.

Customer Support & Issue Resolution

  • Act as the internal advocate for customer experience across all departments.
  • Coordinate issue resolution (quality, delivery, billing, and commercial concerns) with internal teams.
  • Attend project launch meetings and ensure alignment on quoted scope and re-quote needs.

Forecasting & Reporting 

  • Collect updated product forecasts on a recurring basis; validate accuracy against historical demand and production schedules and document assumptions/variances.
  • Evaluate forecasts in the context of market dynamics, capacity constraints, and expected cost/price fluctuations to inform planning.
  • Support annual sales planning by gathering 12-36 month forecasts, analyzing trends, and estimating unit price changes; track KPIs such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and account growth. 

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of account management or inside sales experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering/Technical, Marketing, or Business preferred).
  • Experience with medical and/or automotive contract manufactured products and/or components, assemblies, resin or tooling preferred. Experience selling plastic injection molded products a plus.  
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, between customers and internal stakeholders 
  • Experience working with RFQs, quoting/estimating, pricing, and internal commercial coordination. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple customer relationships and priorities simultaneously. 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; proactive and customer-focused. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel 20-30% for customer meetings and site visits.
