• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients upon intake to evaluate their mental health status and develop personalized care plans that address their specific needs.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive adaptation during the detox process.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients with coping strategies and support their emotional healing.
• Provide psychoeducation for families, offering resources and guidance that encourage constructive engagement in clients’ recovery journeys.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with organizational policies and legal standards to ensure effective continuity of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to create unified treatment strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and case reviews, contributing your expertise to enhance the overall service delivery.

The clients you will work with are primarily adults navigating the complexities of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Many individuals present with a history of trauma and require empathetic, trauma-informed care. Your role will be pivotal in helping them regain agency in their lives and achieve recovery goals in a safe, supportive environment.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in a mental health or substance use treatment setting.
• Strong organizational skills combined with effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage clients and collaborate with team members.

• Prior experience in detoxification, addiction treatment, or similar settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology to deliver remote services effectively.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and best practices in social work.
• Experience working with diverse populations, recognizing cultural influences on mental health.
