Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GCP DevOps Engineer based in Netherlands.

Join a dynamic technology consulting environment where you'll help design, build, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure for a wide range of client projects. In this role, you will leverage Google Cloud Platform expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available solutions while driving automation across the software delivery lifecycle. Working alongside development, operations, and security teams, you'll play a key role in implementing modern DevOps practices, improving deployment efficiency, and enhancing system reliability. Accountabilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to support business and application requirements.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and improve deployment efficiency.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage Kubernetes environments to ensure resilient, scalable application deployments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes to maximize system availability and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to enforce cloud security best practices, optimize infrastructure costs, and continuously improve platform performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and support ongoing infrastructure optimization and troubleshooting initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud networking, monitoring, logging, and infrastructure management.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and operational reliability.
  • Relevant DevOps or Google Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with additional public cloud platforms or configuration management tools is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
