Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patientsโ€™ histories and pinpoint suitable treatment modalities.
  • Develop and execute customized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and building resilience.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address patient needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients articulate their trauma experiences and work on coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care approaches are employed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring immediate support for affected patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, professional development initiatives, and team meetings to stay informed about trauma-informed care advancements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a motivated patient population, including individuals navigating trauma-related challenges and couples seeking therapeutic support. Our practice emphasizes understanding diverse experiences, allowing you to cater your approach effectively to a wide variety of backgrounds and needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Proven ability to utilize compassionate and non-judgmental communication in client interactions.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and relevant computer applications.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling.
  • Specialized training in trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Previous involvement in team-based care settings is advantageous.

The annual salary for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000, aligned with your experience and qualifications.
