Position Overview

The Central Coast Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. This full-time remote position offers the unique opportunity to work primarily within school settings, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on studentsโ€™ mental health and well-being. You will engage with clients experiencing symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, providing therapy and support to foster resilience and recovery.

About the Organization

At Central Coast Psychotherapy Center, we are committed to promoting healthier communities by delivering quality, patient-centered healthcare services to medically underserved areas. Our organization stands as a model for health centers nationwide, guided by our mission to offer inclusive care regardless of an individualโ€™s ability to pay. By addressing the unique needs of our diverse population, we strive to empower individuals and families towards better mental health outcomes.

Work Environment

This role is conducted in a remote capacity, focused on providing services to school-aged clients. You will collaborate with educational professionals, connect with families, and integrate into the school environment to enhance resources available to students. Our remote work culture takes pride in fostering a supportive and flexible environment where all team members can thrive while serving our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct clinical services to clients through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, addressing presenting issues effectively.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings, utilizing evidence-based practices to identify clientsโ€™ needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Establish and maintain a trusting rapport with clients and their families, ensuring open lines of communication and support throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and coordinate care strategies.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary and provide guidance and support during times of acute distress.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring alignment with their evolving needs.
  • Complete timely documentation related to care plans, session notes, and discharge criteria while adhering to the ethical guidelines and standards of practice of our organization.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in social work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves school-age children and young adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges. We support clients from diverse backgrounds, focusing on culturally competent care that respects each client's unique traditions and beliefs. Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves and work through their emotional and psychological struggles.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Must hold a current and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience with a focus on mental health support, preferably in a school or community setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including school staff and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly within underserved communities.
  • Knowledge of local resources and community services to enhance client support and care.
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include flexible scheduling, opportunities for remote work, continuing education allowances, and comprehensive health insurance options, which encompass dental and vision coverage. Employees also enjoy paid time off and a supportive work culture that prioritizes work-life balance.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Central Coast Psychotherapy Center, we believe in investing in our employeesโ€™ professional development. We provide access to training programs, workshops, and supervision that foster career advancement. Our team members are encouraged to pursue specializations or certification in areas of interest, enhancing both their skills and contributions to the organization.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Central Coast Psychotherapy Center means becoming part of a dedicated team that is passionate about transforming mental health care in our communities. You will have the chance to work in a collaborative and supportive environment that values your input and expertise. If you are committed to providing compassionate care and making a difference in the lives of children and families, we encourage you to apply.
