This remote role allows for flexibility while still maintaining a professional therapeutic environment. You will work from home while connecting through our digital platforms that facilitate client appointments and interactions. Although remote, you will remain an integral part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, participating in regular meetings and training designed to enhance our service delivery and clinical approaches.

• Conduct initial assessments with clients to establish their mental health status, identifying key issues and concerns that require attention.
• Develop individualized therapeutic plans tailored to the needs of each client, implementing treatment strategies that incorporate evidence-based methodologies.
• Engage with clients through individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where they can openly discuss their thoughts and feelings.
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of therapy approaches, adapting strategies and techniques as necessary to respond to client feedback and progress.
• Facilitate referrals to other specialized healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, ensuring comprehensive care and attention to multi-faceted issues.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), documenting client progress, treatment interventions, and any changes in mental health status.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and trends in mental health counseling.

Your work will encompass a diverse range of clients, including those struggling with substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and other mental health conditions. You will be responsible for addressing the needs of clients from varied cultural backgrounds, employing culturally sensitive practices that honor their experiences and perspectives.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A minimum of four years of professional experience in a clinical or counseling setting, providing direct client-facing services.
• A robust understanding of mental health disorders and their treatment, along with evidence-based and culturally competent therapeutic approaches.
• Proven skills in crisis intervention, with the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with digital tools used in teletherapy practice.
• A commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and maintaining professional boundaries.

• Experience with group therapy facilitation and community mental health initiatives.
• A background in working with a diverse clientele, particularly in a remote counseling setting.
• Previous engagement in continuing education programs focused on advanced clinical techniques or cultural competence in counseling.
