Role and Responsibilities

The objective of the Implementation Specialist is to bring on new business that is choosing to implement creative cost containment strategies in such a way that allows Sales to succeed without having to implement the work they have sold and sets up clients for success.

• Welcome new clients in the small medium business range (usually 1-1000 employees) to The Difference Card in such a way that you would welcome a guest into your home.

• Coordinate: gather internal and external clients together, including brokers, employers, sales consultants, and account managers to implement new business in a manner that exceeds the expectations of our clients.

• Create: collateral, documentation to support implementations, project plans and procedures that facilitate the success of your client.

• Teach: explain processes and protocols and help clients succeed post-implementation

• Facilitate completion and collection of new group paperwork from third parties and submit these for processing. Coordinate next steps and maintain clients apprised of progress.

• Prioritize: Use exceptional organizational skills, prioritization and delegation skills to successfully manage up to approximately 30 projects a month and seasonally large volume of new group implementations simultaneously, ranging from 30-50 projects.

• Share client feedback with the organizations and make recommendations for improvement.

• Protect The organization by managing scope. Successfully Transition clients to Account Manager once all essential tasks are complete.

• Help Others: When the team needs help, be willing to complete other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or experience otherwise equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

• Two to three years of experience working in a client facing role in the benefits industry preferred

• Two years’ experience managing and/or coordinating implementations or projects

• Experience in employer sponsored benefits, such as health plans or consumer directed healthcare accounts such as Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Flexible Spending Accounts or Dependent Care Accounts preferred.


Preferred Skills

• Present a customer facing, can do attitude. Communicate with clients proactively, effectively, and in such a way that increases client satisfaction.

• Ability to apply influence with internal and external clients to achieve deliverables and outcomes.

• Ability to build and scale processes.
