To support this momentum, we are excited to add an Attorney with expertise in business immigration to our team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

The purpose of the Business Immigration Attorney at CIP, P.C., is to assist the assigned team in the review and filing of immigration casework. In this role, The Business Immigration Attorney will closely liaise with client contacts, provide strategic legal counsel, and help manage immigration programs. In-depth experience with high volume employment-based NIV and IV immigration cases, including PERM, I-140, AOS, H-1B, L-1, TN, and E visa matters is required within this role. It also requires legal research and preparation of complex written projects for immigration cases as well as reviewing work of Paralegals, to ensure accuracy and quality.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and file cases for acceptance and approval including at least H-1B, I-140, I-485, and client-relevant NIV/IV
  • Perform client management and consult for Small Business potential clients, while also guiding clients through processes
  • Provide support to Managing Attorney on Enterprise clients as well as provide support and leadership to assigned team(s)
  • May liaise with other attorneys or departments in the firm on projects
  • Assist with maintenance of casework quality and consistency on the assigned team(s)
  • Evaluate cases and assist in providing case strategies and/or solutions to issues
  • Provide coverage for attorneys on vacation and leave of absence
  • Work closely with and mentor paralegals; May provide supervision of other employees, as required
  • Perform reporting/auditing duties
  • Supplement and maintain knowledge of law and policy changes
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda and/or legal briefs
  • Analyze facts, patterns, and complex legal issues to provide sound legal advice
  • Prepare immigration-based filings for complex case management
  • Gain rapport and foster strong relationships in a professional, proactive, considerate, and accountable way with clients, colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Admittance to the State Bar
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • 1+ years of experience/proficiency level with PERM
  • Experience with H-1B, L-1, TN and E visas
  • Track record of consistently meeting SLEs (Service Level Expectations)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
  • Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms; Bilingual a plus, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional client service
  • You exhibit excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar
  • Sharp eye for attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work
  • You possess an exceptional ability to analyze data and cases
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and are able to meet strict deadlines
  • You are tech savvy and possess strong computer literacy with the ability to adapt to state-of-the-art Envoy Global case processing software
