As a Social Media Video Creator, you'll be responsible for creating short form video content for all major social media platforms utilized by Hagerty and Hagerty owned/operated brands (Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok), both from archival Hagerty-produced footage, as well as by creating new original content. You will support all of Hagerty's handles with focus on its ancillary accounts such as Hagerty Marketplace, The Amelia Concours, and The Greenwich Concours.

This role is part of the front line of communication for Hagerty with social media users, so your work output directly represents the image of the company-posts must be creative and comment responses must be thoughtful. You must also have knowledge of cars and the automotive lifestyle.

What you'll do

  • Create video assets for all channels on a daily basis, including content filmed in the field and utilization of Hagerty's extensive video library
  • Post bespoke social content, Hagerty videos, and/or Hagerty media on all channels, creating content that suits each channel's needs
  • Monitor performance of your posts and refine for future posts
  • Travel to film cars and people on location at auctions, events, and photoshoots
  • Monitor entire social ecosystem and then share trends and insights to optimize member engagement.
  • Keep abreast of industry news, technologies, trends, and opportunities among Hagerty's competitive set.
  • Use Sprout and other required social posting platforms
  • Cross-train in teammates' responsibilities to be better prepared for task coverage
  • Participate in moderation of inbound comments from social platforms

  • Strong experience in the video (short-form or otherwise) field
  • Ability to travel with short notice
  • Strong video editing skills both in-app as well as with Adobe Premiere, etc.
  • A good understanding of what's trending within the social media landscape
  • Can respond to user and member comments in a thoughtful, considerate, and complete manner.
  • Can effectively work alongside and collaborate with teammates.
  • Is able to attend to tasks in timely manner. Not away from a computer or phone for an extended amount of time

  • This position is open to U.S. remote work. However, team members who reside within 20 miles of the Traverse City headquarters will follow a hybrid schedule, working from the office three days per week.
