Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the symptoms of eating disorders as well as any co-occurring mental health conditions that may impact treatment.
  • Create individualized, actionable treatment plans that align with assessment data and client goals for recovery.
  • Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic sessions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients reframe their relationship with food and body image.
  • Address clients' negative beliefs and cognitive distortions related to body image and nutritional habits, guiding them toward healthier perspectives.
  • Empower clients to develop effective coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques, minimizing the risk of relapse to disordered eating behaviors.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for coordinated care, ensuring that treatment remains holistic and adaptive to each client's evolving needs.
  • Provide psychoeducation to both clients and their families to deepen understanding of eating disorders, which fosters a supportive environment for recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client progress, treatment sessions, and plans while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by participating in team meetings, case reviews, and industry-related education.
