What is a remote Icon clinical research associate?

A Remote Icon Clinical Research job refers to a position within ICON plc, a global clinical research organization, where employees work remotely to support the design, execution, and management of clinical trials. These roles can include clinical research associates, project managers, data managers, and other professionals who help bring new medical treatments and drugs to market. Remote positions allow employees to work from home or another location outside of a traditional office, using digital tools to collaborate with teams and clients. This flexibility helps balance work-life needs while still contributing to important medical research. ICON is known for its focus on innovation and supporting remote work arrangements in the clinical research field.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote clinical research associate at ICON?

To thrive as a Remote Clinical Research Associate at ICON, you need a solid background in life sciences or healthcare, clinical trial experience, and often a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems, clinical trial management systems (CTMS), and knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines are typically required, and certifications like ACRP or SOCRA are advantageous. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are vital for managing remote site monitoring and collaborating with diverse teams.
