• Conduct comprehensive assessments to meticulously evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing ICD-10 standards.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that prioritize their unique needs, aspirations, and cultural backgrounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, focusing on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to mood disorders.
• Provide thorough education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, potential treatment options, and practical self-care strategies.
• Track and monitor clients' progress through detailed documentation and regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans based on evolving client needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Stay informed of the latest research and emerging treatments in the field of mood disorders to continually enhance practices and methodologies.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with legal standards while documenting all client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments.
• Participate in continuous professional development through case consultations, team meetings, workshops, and training opportunities focused on mood disorder treatment.
• Act as an advocate for clients, facilitating conversations around the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and championing mental health needs in the community.

In this role, you will primarily work with clients dealing with a range of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related concerns. Our clientele comes from varied backgrounds, requiring sensitivity and cultural competence in addressing their mental health challenges. You will play a crucial part in supporting these individuals on their journey toward recovery and mental stability, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Virginia is required.
• Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods specifically for mood disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and communicate effectively across diverse populations.
• Strong ethical practice with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, especially in the treatment of mood disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and collaborative care models.
• A proven track record of successful treatment outcomes in mood disorder therapy.
