Job Description: 
The Sr. Solutions Engineer - WiFi is a hybrid position combining network engineering expertise with sales engineering, solutions design, deployment engineering, and ongoing client support on a range of large-scale managed services projects. The Sr. Solutions Engineer will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and deploy designs that meet or exceed internal and client expectations. This position will be responsible for the following: 
  • Lead pre-Sales technical engineering, collaborating with clients and sales organization throughout the pre-Sales project and deal qualification cycle. 
  • Deliver technical presentations and solution demonstrations to clients. 
  • Create, optimize, and review design BOMs and SOWs for WiFi and other managed services networks. 
  • Create, standardize, and review network deployment design documentation. 
  • Integrate and configure WLAN, LAN, IoT, and other managed service networks. 
  • Configuration of APs, switches, routers, firewalls, and other network equipment 
  • Work with field teams (i.e., construction, Systems Engineer, etc.) for integration of network design. 
  • Provide technical support for the construction and deployment teams throughout project lifecycle. 
  • Provide support for network management, integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, monitoring, testing, break/fix, network maintenance, close-out activities, and documentation for newly deployed and existing WiFi networks. 
  • Analyze collected data and network performance info for troubleshooting and optimization. 
  • Provide remote (and onsite) support for trouble tickets to meet client SLAs.
  • Attend virtual and onsite industry conferences as technical liaison for engineering team. 
  • Attend onsite client meetings acting as an SME for engineering team. 
  • Travel may be required to customer sites - Up to 50% travel. 

Experience Needed: 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or combination of relevant certifications and minimum 5 years of relevant experience. 
  • Four or more years of pre-sales engineering and client-facing experience required. 
  • Two or more years of Ekahau or iBwave WiFi and wired LAN design and remediation experience required. 
  • Three or more years of direct field work experience (configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and support) in commercial WiFi or wired LAN networks preferred. 
  • Extensive network design tool, BOM creation tool, and network documentation tools experience required. 
  • Proficiency in reviewing and structuring CAD and other design documentation required. 
  • Network security and firewall configuration and administration experience required. 
  • Routing and switching protocols and implementations experience required. 
  • Practical WLAN and LAN deployment implementation experience required with Aruba, Ruckus, or Cisco. 
  • Industry certifications are desired, such as: 
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) 
  • CWNP Certified Wireless Network Administrator or Professional 
  • Vendor-specific certifications from Aruba, Ruckus, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, or Fortinet 
  • Managed network experience in hospitality and multi-dwelling units (MDU) verticals preferred. 
  • Ekahau, iBwave, or other WLAN design and benchmarking software experience required. 
  • RGNets, Nomadix, or similar Gateway (Router and AAA/RADIUS) experience required. 
  • Familiarity with network security standards and procedures  
  • Familiarity with Intangi Iris preferred.
