We are currently seeking a Enterprise Integration Services Developer - Remote to join our team in Seattle, Washington (US-WA), United States (US).

Senior Integration Engineer – IBM ACE/IIB, MQ, EDI, Apigee

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise‑grade integration solutions across a complex, high‑volume environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in distributed systems, API‑led connectivity, and mission‑critical data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE v12) and IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
  • Build, configure, and deploy message flows, subflows, and reusable integration services across distributed environments.
  • Implement transformation logic using ESQL, Java Compute Nodes, XML/XSLT, and ITX based on business requirements.
  • Develop and support integrations leveraging IBM MQ, REST APIs, and SOAP web services.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate systems using API‑led and event‑driven architectures.
  • Implement robust exception handling, logging, and error recovery frameworks to ensure reliability and traceability.
  • Monitor integration performance using Dynatrace and ACE monitoring tools; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform unit and integration testing using ACE tools, SOAP UI, Postman, and automated test frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve production incidents.
  • Optimize message flows for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency, including ESQL tuning.
  • Support production deployments, code promotions, and release management aligned with DevOps practices.
  • Work with multiple message formats including JSON, XML, EDI X12, XSD, and WSDL.
  • Develop and maintain database integrations, including SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Manage security configurations including SSL/TLS certificates, keystores, and encryption.
  • Integrate APIs and proxies using Apigee, ensuring governance and lifecycle management.
  • Develop automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for integration flows and support procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with IBM ACE (v12) / IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
  • 8+ years working with JSON, XML, EDI X12, XSD, WSDL.
  • 5+ years of experience with Apigee, REST APIs, and related integration standards.
  • 5+ years configuring and maintaining TIBCO workflows.
  • 5+ years supporting EDI structures, workflows, and transactions.
  • 5+ years supporting IBM MQ workflows and setup.
  • 3+ years with Java, Oracle, and SQL.
  • Experience participating in rotational on‑call support.
  • Experience working in Agile, high‑volume, enterprise environments.

Nice to Have

  • Project lead or technical leadership experience.
  • Healthcare payer experience (e.g., EDI 837, 277, 276, 835).
  • Experience working in large, cross‑functional enterprise teams.
  • 24×7 on‑call rotational support background.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile workflows.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $105,840-$196,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. 

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
