Lead HVAC Service Technician
Location: DMV Area
Position Type: Full-Time

We are actively seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity in the DMV area. This is your chance to be part of a fast-growing team that values skill, professionalism, and dedication to quality service.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment while delivering first-class HVACR/mechanical systems, customer satisfaction, and high-quality craftsmanship.

  • Perform and oversee code-compliant HVACR installations from initial install through final pressure testing, evacuation, start-up, and commissioning, exceeding industry standards.

  • Lead by example and represent the company professionally in communication, appearance, and conduct.

  • Enforce all company SOPs, including startup, test, check sheets, VRF QC, installation procedures, and service ticket submission.

  • Oversee quality control for all testing, installations, and service work.

  • Prepare job estimates, support departmental sales goals and gross profit, and collaborate with leadership on strategic growth.

  • Coordinate scheduling, service calendars, and parts ordering/returns in partnership with logistics.

  • Manage service department operations, including SharePoint service requests, on-call rotation, and performance metrics (ticket averages, callbacks, sales leads, COD calls).

  • Act as the technical authority and escalation point, resolving customer issues and providing long-term solutions.

  • Coach, train, and mentor service technicians through one-on-one sessions, weekly meetings, and safety-focused training.

  • Ensure all installations follow manufacturer recommendations, including VRF piping verification, low-voltage wiring, and system integration.

  • Demonstrate strong decision-making, time management, organizational, math, and basic computer skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of HVAC service experience, with a strong focus on commercial facilities

  • Must have EPA Certification

  • Proven diagnostic and repair skills

  • Strong communication and team leadership qualities

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Comfort with digital documentation tools and service software

  • A commitment to professionalism, safety, and exceptional customer service
