  • Create scalable backend services and APIs that support complex business workflows and operational decision-making.

  • Lead architecture and implementation decisions across distributed systems, workflow automation, and data pipelines.

  • Build reliable systems with observability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and operational excellence in mind.

  • Partner with software engineers, platform teams, product partners, and security stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Research, prototype, and apply emerging AI technologies to solve real-world business and engineering challenges.

  • Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and help elevate engineering best practices across the organization.

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and supporting production systems.

  • Strong Python development skills and experience building backend APIs and services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, data modeling, ORM frameworks, and scalable data processing systems.

  • Proven ability to design distributed, service-oriented architectures, including workflow orchestration, asynchronous processing, and resilient application design.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Experience building and operating applications in AWS, including services such as EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.

  • Experience with Docker, containerized application delivery, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Knowledge of automated testing, deployment strategies, infrastructure-as-code, and modern DevOps practices.

  • Experience implementing observability, reliability, and operational best practices for production systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing AI-powered applications, workflow automation platforms, or intelligent decision-support systems.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, or cloud security concepts.
