While this role offers a remote work arrangement, it requires deep familiarity with regional practices, cross-border compliance, and occasional local alignment. Therefore, residency within the DMV area is a strict mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle & Engagement

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing grievances, and assisting managers with conflict resolution and performance improvement plans.
  • Performance & Development: Assist in managing the annual performance review process and support internal learning and development initiatives.

HR Operations & Administration

  • HRIS Management: Maintain pristine employee records, process payroll/personnel changes, and generate HR metrics and workforce analytics utilizing HRIS platforms.
  • Benefits & Compliance: Support the administration of employee benefits, leave programs (FMLA, short-term disability), and annual open enrollment cycles.
  • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
  • LMS Support: Assist with the basic coordination of the corporate Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring new hires are assigned necessary compliance and onboarding training tracks.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Location: Must currently reside within the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) area. Applications outside this geographic region will not be considered.
  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4โ€“6 years of progressive HR experience as an HR Generalist or Senior HR Coordinator.
  • Technical Skills: Proven, hands-on experience utilizing ADP (preferably ADP Workforce Now) or equivalent major HRIS platforms to manage workforce data.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working within IT Software Consulting, professional services, or a federal government contracting environment is highly preferred.
  • Remote Work Competency: Proven capability to effectively engage, support, and collaborate with a dispersed team in a remote work environment.
  • MUST BE A US Citizen/GC Holder to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity or prior experience utilizing or administering a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Knowledge of or exposure to leveraging AI tools within HR workflows (e.g., AI-driven sourcing, talent analytics, or automated HR administrative utilities).
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
