Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs)

As a Human Resources Partner, you'll... Tessera's HR Partner will provide support to the Senior HR Business Partner, including supporting HR initiatives, providing guidance and coaching to home office employees and Site Managers on employee relations, recruitment, performance management and labor relations. HR Partner's must also exemplify Tessera's culture, values and commitment to excellence.

  • Provides professional and knowledgeable HR guidance and support to ensure Tessera's policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements and federal, state employment laws are interpreted and implemented fairly and consistently.

  • Mentor and educate managers to identify available courses of action and how to communicate with employees on employee relations issues.

  • Performs day-to-day HR Partner duties for the Tessera Home Office and Administrative staff.

  • Coordinates with HR Partners and Recruiters to ensure operational support is delivered in a timely and professional manner.

  • Has a thorough understanding of business goals. Develops, researches and recommends new approaches, policies and processes, to effect continual improvements in efficiency and accuracy of processes and services provided.

  • Communicates proactively with HR team members and promotes transparency. Effectively communicate strategic HR and Recruitment initiatives across all levels of the organization.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and laws for federal, state, local and government contractors to ensure compliance. Works with legal counsel as needed.

  • Provide counsel on applicable employment laws, rules, policies, program requirements and options; analyze, interpret and apply complex human resource rules in resolving problems; work with managers on union issues, staffing plans, classification, compensation, performance management, grievance resolution, disability accommodation, etc.

  • Review requests for exceptions to policies and procedures; provides recommendations on best courses of action.

  • Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to mentor managers on writing job descriptions, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, coaching documents, performance management reviews and termination letters to ensure Tessera's position is accurately and professionally communicated.

  • Investigates, documents and responds to complex complaints, grievances, harassment allegations, and Human Rights Commission or EEOC complaints in partnership with HR leadership.

  • Assist in ensuring recruitment methodologies and hiring practices follow government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner regarding discipline, performance improvement plans, and potential separation of employment for employees that have performance or employee relations issues that may be related to their disabilities.

  • Conduct and/or assist HR Partners with presentations, trainings and workshops regarding Human Resource and Recruitment functions, Workday processes, laws, procedures, and other organizational development efforts. Create and update training guides and presentations.

  • Travel expectations: Hybrid office/remote schedule available. Periodic travel to different Tessera locations to perform HR functions including out of state travel.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Human Resources Partner:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources or similar experience is required.

  • Combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • SHRM or HRCI Certification is preferred.

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
