Job description

Zirous is an accomplished tech firm based out of West Des Moines, IA. For 40 years, Zirous has been committed to executing best practices and providing viable solutions for customers in RevOps, data & analytics, cloud adoption, and more. Due to growth we are immediately seeking a Salesforce Implementation Consultant to lead full-cycle client implementations and optimize Salesforce environments.

  • Type: Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Location: West Des Moines, IA.
    • For applicants located within the Des Moines, IA metro, a hybrid work environment model will be available. Specifically, Tuesday - Thursdays working out of the West Des Moines, IA office, with the ability to work remotely each Monday and Friday.
    • A fully-remote model may be considered for experienced professionals who have a proven track record of successfully working in remote-first work environments.
  • Schedule: Must be available to work during typical business hours, with variation across U.S. time zones based on client locations.

What You'd Be Doing
You will play a vital role in leading client implementations of the Salesforce platform. You will utilize your Salesforce expertise to streamline business processes and ensure optimal customer experience with our services and solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating Salesforce with various custom applications, databases, ERP, and CRM systems. This role provides technical guidance in adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manages a portfolio of client projects from start to finish, including project timeline, client communications, meeting coordination, training plan creation, end-user training delivery/coordination, and project sign-off.
  • Must be comfortable working in a consulting/client-facing environment.
  • Leads Technical Requirements and business analysis gathering sessions; collaborates to provide documentation around design, customizations, integration, data migration, and testing.
  • Acts as the Technical Architect to deliver well-architected and secure solutions that best leverage SFDC and SFDX platforms.
  • Customizes and configures Salesforce to meet business requirements, including creating custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflow rules, process builder flows, and validation rules.
  • Oversees data quality, integrity, and security within the Salesforce platform. Performs regular data imports, exports, and updates, and ensures data hygiene through deduplication and cleansing processes.
  • Provides user support and training to ensure effective utilization of Salesforce. Assists users with troubleshooting issues, answering queries, and offering solutions to improve user adoption.
  • Manages user profiles, roles, permissions, and sharing settings to ensure proper data security and access controls are maintained.
  • Creates and maintains reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to enable data-driven decision-making for management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the client's IT team to integrate Salesforce with other systems and tools, ensuring seamless data flow and process synchronization.
  • Performs regular system maintenance, including monitoring system health, applying updates, and managing third-party integrations.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of customizations, processes, and best practices within the Salesforce environment.
  • Utilizes professional discretion to make technical decisions that guide projects to achieve goals with minimal oversight.
  • Delivers modules within a workstream from a technical perspective, including customization and programming on SFDC and SFDX platforms.
  • Demonstrates built capabilities to product managers as part of application development.
  • Develops code consistent with specifications and performs unit testing.
  • Participates in formal unit and/or integration testing for deliverables.
  • Completes complex configurations for Salesforce features that are not common or basic.
  • Communicates clearly in writing and verbally regarding the specific logic involved in assigned tasks.
  • Proactively researches, learns, and applies new technology and methods to solve tasks.
  • Participates in CI/CD/Release Management and identifies risks/issues from a technical perspective.
  • Builds roadmaps for future enhancements based on current configurations.
  • Builds Salesforce reports or custom reports for customers.
  • Adheres to best practices, performs peer code reviews, and ensures appropriate design patterns are followed. Mentors team members on best practices.
  • Works closely with the Director of RevOps to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Effectively communicates with the Director of Resource Management regarding time allocation on all projects ensuring hours worked align to each project's scope.
  • Provides expert hands-on technical support, consultation, and coaching to clients.
  • Provides technical support and shares Salesforce ecosystem expertise with internal team members.

Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of customization and development experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, specifically with Sales or Service Clouds.
    • Background in RevOps, sales operations, or marketing operations, a plus.
    • Experience with common integrations (e.g. Apollo, HubSpot, outreach tools, support platforms, or data enrichment)
  • Implementation: Previous experience completing full-cycle Salesforce platform implementations is required; consulting experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Lightning App Builder, Flow Builder, and Data migration tools is a must. Experience with Triggers, API, LWC, SOQL, Visualforce, and the ability to code from scratch with Apex are all a plus.
    • Experience using DevOps tooling with the Salesforce.com platform.
    • Experience with AI tools (Salesforce AI, Einstein, or external LLM-based tools)
    • Solid troubleshooting skills to debug and analyze issues to resolution.
  • Certifications: Salesforce certifications in one or more areas preferred (Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Platform App Builder,).
  • Cloud Expertise: Experience with additional Salesforce Clouds (e.g., Health, Commerce, Experience, or Marketing Cloud) is a plus.
  • Consulting Ability: Proven ability to balance multiple client assignments and deadlines simultaneously with minimal oversight.
  • Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with clients. Self-directed work style with clear communication.
