Job description

We are looking for an experienced HRIS Compensation Analyst to join a service-focused organization on a Contract basis in Coppell, Texas. This role will support complex compensation and HR data initiatives by improving system readiness, validating large datasets, and helping ensure employee records align with compensation structures and job frameworks. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, advanced spreadsheet skills, and hands-on experience working with Workday and HR data processes in a highly detail-oriented environment. Experience with international compensation is required.

This is a 2-3 month contract position. Mostly remote.


HRIS Compensation Analyst (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Lead HRIS and compensation data activities related to Workday configuration updates, including file preparation, validation, and test support.

• Review employee records against the job architecture to assign accurate job classifications, pay grades, and related compensation attributes.

• Organize and align compensation components such as ranges, bands, grade structures, allowances, and regional bonus elements at the employee level.

• Use advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Copilot capabilities to analyze data, prepare load-ready files, and investigate exceptions during processing.

• Cleanse, standardize, and transform high-volume HR and compensation data while preserving accuracy, completeness, and auditability.

• Troubleshoot data load issues for Workday by identifying root causes, correcting file issues, and validating final outputs.

• Collaborate with compensation, HR, payroll, and finance stakeholders to maintain consistency across systems and support successful implementation efforts.

• Apply knowledge of compensation practices and compliance considerations, including local regulatory and workforce-related requirements, when handling employee data.

• 5+ years of experience in HRIS analysis, compensation data, or closely related HR systems work.

• Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS, including data preparation, testing, validation, or implementation support.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for large dataset analysis, reconciliation, and transformation.

• Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar tools to improve data preparation and validation workflows.

• Strong understanding of HRIS databases, employee data structures, and compensation-related data elements.

• Demonstrated ability to manage data quality, resolve discrepancies, and support system load troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of compensation administration practices and relevant compliance requirements in HR environments.

Experience with international compensation is required.
