Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting HR Payroll Specialist opportunities in Cincinnati, OH(Remote Role) opportunities. Responsibilities for HR Payroll Specialist include but are not limited to:

· Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time, including wages, bonuses, overtime, commissions, deductions, and garnishments.

· Support payroll processing activities in partnership with third-party payroll providers.

· Ensure payroll transactions are reviewed, validated, and completed in accordance with company policies and regulations.

· Manage payroll adjustments, off-cycle payments, stop payments, and payroll corrections.

· Support overpayment recovery processes and coordinate with vendors regarding employee repayments.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

· Maintain SOX compliance and operational controls related to payroll processes.

· Support internal and external payroll audits, including documentation preparation and audit responses.

· Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation for compliance purposes.

· Ensure payroll policies, procedures, and process documentation remain current and accurate.

· Reconcile payroll accounts and validate payroll-related general ledger transactions.

· Maintain dedicated payroll bank accounts and ensure proper funding prior to payroll processing.

· Perform payroll bank account reconciliations following payroll cycles.

· Manage ACH file transfers and direct deposit processing in accordance with NACHA rules and company standards.

· Review payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies to ensure complete accuracy.

· Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, HR, Finance, vendors, and government agencies.

· Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.

· Manage employee escalations related to pay, deductions, and payroll issues while maintaining confidentiality.

· Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to improve payroll processes and employee experience.

· Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and service delivery metrics.

· Utilize advanced Excel functions to perform payroll analysis, audits, data uploads, and reconciliation activities.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

· Support payroll projects, system implementations, and process enhancements.

· Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, coaching, and development of payroll best practices

Candidates for HR Payroll Specialist must meet the following requirements to be considered:

· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university OR

· High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of payroll experience.

· Experience processing multi-state payroll.

· Strong understanding of payroll laws, payroll lifecycle, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance requirements.

· Experience working with payroll vendors and third-party payroll providers.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

· Workday Payroll experience is strongly preferred.

· Knowledge of NACHA operating rules and ACH payment processing.

· Experience with payroll reconciliations and general ledger processes.

· Experience supporting SOX controls and payroll audits.

· Knowledge of payroll banking operations and payroll funding processes.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
