We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Addiction Therapy Services. Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, which allows for flexibility and work-life balance. However, our outpatient office in Waterbury serves as the hub for therapy sessions, team meetings, and collaborative care efforts. The team operates under a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ensuring that you can manage your time while fulfilling essential responsibilities. Ongoing communication and team engagement are fostered through virtual platforms, promoting a sense of community and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

  • Monitor client progress systematically, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for coordinated, integrated care.

  • Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, incorporating new knowledge into practice to enhance client care.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and discuss best practices.

  • Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and striving to fulfill their treatment needs.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety, as well as individuals dealing with addiction issues. Qualifications
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
