The ideal candidate will work in a climate-controlled office environment, navigating digital platforms while also interacting remotely with colleagues and healthcare providers. Daily routines include thorough patient assessments, preparation of detailed treatment plans, and ongoing support for clients to navigate their health journeys. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health status and needs, utilizing diagnostic tools such as the DSM-5 to ensure accurate evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that consider cultural diversity and unique challenges of the patient population, continuously monitoring and adjusting strategies based on patient progress.
• Document all clinical interactions and treatment records promptly and accurately, adhering to regulatory compliance and departmental protocols.
• Collaborate closely with patients and their families to define clear treatment goals and encourage a participatory approach to care.
• Engage in educational initiatives by mentoring students, interns, and volunteers, and facilitating peer reviews to enhance clinical skills within the team.
• Act as a liaison between patients and other treatment providers, coordinating referrals and ensuring seamless continuity of care.

You will primarily serve individuals and families impacted by cancer, addressing their mental health needs through specialized therapeutic interventions. This involves understanding the emotional and psychological challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis, allowing for the delivery of care that is not only effective but also empathetic and tailored to individual circumstances.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment and familiarity with regulatory standards in a healthcare setting.

• Prior experience working in hospice or oncology settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize technology for telehealth services and digital documentation.
• Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration within clinical teams.
