Position Summary:
The Technical Lead is responsible for managing a small team of developers and drive delivery of a development stream within a project. The Technical Lead plays an active role in managing communication between the Data Architects and the Operations team to align on deliverables and coordinate the release of developed code. The Technical Lead will work with the Data Architect to translate technical documentation into tasks for the developers of their team. They will provide expertise to their developers to ensure best practices and high-quality coding standards are followed. The Technical Lead will also work closely with other Technical Leads to share findings and identify opportunities to identify synergies between development groups.
Principle Responsibilities
• Translate technical design documents from architects into technical stories for developers.
• Collaborate with operations to continuously improve deployment standards for production code.
• Provide expertise in the development of estimates for Epics and User Stories for planning and execution during project development.
• Enrich, define, and enforce governance standards to mitigate against entropy via continual operational excellence.
• Enforce and continuously improve high-quality coding standards and practices via reviews.
• Provide data analytics technical leadership when collaborating with other IT teams on project work.
Technical Skills
• Advanced knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter 8.1+ (Required).
• In-depth knowledge of SQL (plSQL, Hive, Impala, Oracle) and other databases.
• Expertise in Oracle Data Warehouse Application Console (Required).
• Expertise in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g (Required)
• Expertise in Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 11g (Required).
• Preferred Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) based Data Analytics tools (Ex: Big Query, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion)
• Experience in software development on a team using Agile methodology
• Preferred to have experience in implementing automated testing for large scale data platforms
• Preferred to have experience on DevOps tools and techniques (Ex: CI/CD, GitHub, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.)
