Position Overview

Bee Hive Wellness Mental Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide remote therapeutic services tailored to children with developmental disabilities and their families. As a key player in our team, you will take on the rewarding challenge of facilitating positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for our young clients and their caregivers.

About the Organization

Bee Hive Wellness Mental Health is a leading provider of comprehensive mental health services located in Los Angeles, California. Our mission is to empower children and families facing developmental and intellectual challenges through accessible, high-quality therapeutic interventions. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive environment that embraces diversity, understands individual needs, and works collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions in a comfortable environment while effectively reaching clients across the state. Occasionally, you may work in our outpatient office setting, providing you with the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals and engage in team collaboration. The supportive culture at Bee Hive Wellness ensures that all therapists have access to the resources they need to flourish in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on evidence-based practices to support youth and families effectively.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions that promote coping skills, social skills, and anger management while mitigating high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
  • Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, which includes various professionals, to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each child's unique circumstances.
  • Consistently monitor and document client progress, submitting all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within designated timeframes.
  • Engage in regular consultations and attend monthly meetings with the treatment team to share insights, generate recommendations, and ensure continuity of care for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing therapeutic services to children aged 3-20 who possess developmental and intellectual disabilities. These young clients often face a range of emotional and behavioral challenges, and your expertise will help facilitate positive change in their lives. Additionally, you will be actively involved in supporting their families, equipping them with tools and strategies to effectively manage behavioral issues in the home environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted California LMFT license is essential for this role.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours from 4-7 pm, with additional flexibility during weekends being a significant advantage.
  • Experience in providing positive behavioral support is mandatory.
  • A clean criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required for employment.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for any in-home therapy sessions.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those facing intellectual and developmental disabilities, will be highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic methodologies designed for working with families in crisis is preferable.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, enhancing our ability to reach a broader spectrum of clients.
Compensation and Benefits

Bee Hive Wellness offers a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 - 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Dynamic and supportive work environment focused on professional development.
  • Health coverage to ensure your well-being.
  • Generous annual paid time off, allowing for work-life balance.
  • Short- and long-term disability benefits to support your health needs.
  • 401K plan to help you invest in your future.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Bee Hive Wellness, we believe in investing in our employees’ professional development. We offer ongoing training sessions, mentorship programs, and opportunities for professional growth that encourage therapists to advance their skills and knowledge. As part of a vibrant and innovative team, you will have the chance to contribute to a positive work culture while continuously enhancing your professional journey.

Why Join Our Team
