Job Details:
PURPOSE
This position is responsible for reviewing and verifying high school transcripts, calculating GPA equivalencies, and performing significant data entry. The role requires strong critical thinking and analytical skills to accurately evaluate academic records and ensure data integrity. Applicants must be reliable, detail-oriented, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Because the position involves handling confidential student information, the highest level of discretion, security, and integrity is essential. Preference will be given to students who receive Federal Work-Study through the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid. Training will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and verify high school transcripts for accuracy, completeness and compliance with institutional policies
  • Calculate and evaluate GPA equivalencies
  • Input Data into databases and/or spreadsheets for easy retrieval, reference and analysis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin
  • Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Have and maintain good academic and judicial standing at the University
  • Maintain discretion, security and integrity with confidential information
  • Must be timely, responsible and responsive
  • Be able to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team
  • Be able to think critically and problem solve to interpret data to make reasonable conclusions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience reviewing academic records or transcripts is preferred
  • Familiarity with domestic or international education systems is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or SharePoint
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
