As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Psychiatric Unity Mental Care, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with clients to set personalized treatment goals that reflect their unique needs and aspirations.
• Delivering prevention-oriented therapeutic services, including individual and group therapy sessions.
• Designing, implementing, and regularly reviewing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Coordinating care with other treatment providers and community agencies to ensure holistic support for clients.
• Completing all necessary documentation accurately and promptly to maintain compliance and support quality care.
• Managing a diverse caseload effectively while keeping thorough session notes to track progress.
• Participating in weekly staff meetings to stay informed on best practices and contribute to team initiatives.
• Contributing positively to our organizational culture through your engagement and professional insights.

Your caseload will include various individuals dealing with mental health challenges across different backgrounds and demographics. Your expertise will be vital in providing culturally competent care, addressing clients’ distinct situations, and promoting mental wellness. This role will emphasize preventive care and early intervention strategies to enhance the overall quality of life for our clients.

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• A valid state license as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• At least one year of previous experience in mental health counseling or a similar role.
• Familiarity with community mental health resources and referral processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster effective client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Exemplary leadership qualities that contribute to team success.

While not required, experience in working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or clients with substance use disorders, will be viewed favorably. Additionally, candidates with prior experience in teletherapy modalities will find themselves well-prepared for the responsibilities of this role.
