Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients through individual therapy sessions via video chat. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ mental health, evaluating their conditions, and fostering an environment for open discussion about emotions and experiences.
• Guiding clients toward self-discovery and insight by encouraging them to articulate their thoughts and feelings.
• Collaborating with clients to define clear, achievable goals and developing effective treatment plans based on clinical experience and best practices.
• Advocating for clients and ensuring they understand the treatment process, working diligently to provide tailored support and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve clients who have been thoroughly prescreened for stability and low acuity. This approach helps ensure effective therapeutic interactions and enhances overall treatment outcomes, as you will work with individuals who are ready to engage in their mental health journey. Our clientele consists of diverse demographics, aligning with our commitment to inclusivity and culturally competent care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• An independent state-issued license (not limited or provisional) to practice, including one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Exceptional skills in professional evaluation, decision-making, and treatment planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills combined with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
• Proficiency in using technology for remote counseling sessions.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are welcome, preference will be given to those with:

• Previous experience in remote counseling settings.
• Specializations in areas such as trauma-informed care, family therapy, or specific demographic focus areas that align with our client needs.
