• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health status using standardized methods, including questionnaires and interviews to inform treatment decisions.
• Design tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that reflect the unique characteristics and needs of each client, regularly updating these plans based on progress and emerging therapeutic targets.
• Engage in individual therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches to foster healing.
• Collaborate with clients to establish clear therapeutic goals, providing ongoing support and adjustments to treatment as required to optimize their mental well-being.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with ethical standards, including treatment logs and progress notes, ensuring consistency and legality in client care.
• Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to stay informed on best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in mental health therapy.

As a Mental Health Therapist with Christus Healthcare Services, you will primarily support a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and behavioral issues. You will work to create a safe, trusting environment conducive to open dialogue, helping clients navigate their personal experiences effectively.

• A valid and active license in the state of New York, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields.
• Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients through an empathetic, non-judgmental approach.
• Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills, enabling effective case handling and administrative tasks despite a potentially high caseload.

• Experience working with a diverse client population, particularly in school settings or with youth, is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with teletherapy tools and technologies is advantageous, supporting efficient, high-quality virtual sessions.
• Engagement in specialized training or certifications related to trauma, substance use, or adolescent counseling is a plus.
