Our mission is to empower individuals to unlock their potential and achieve meaningful change in their lives.

Work Environment

This role is designed for remote work, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions and evaluations from the comfort of your own workspace. Our outpatient office setting emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, enabling you to connect seamlessly with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses. Through advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, you will document case histories and track client progress efficiently, ensuring that all team members remain informed on client interventions and treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and assessments to gather detailed information about clients' mental and emotional health, documenting all findings meticulously throughout the treatment process.
  • Evaluate clients using evidence-based methods to identify psychological, behavioral, and emotional challenges, utilizing standard assessment tools and diagnostic criteria.
  • Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, taking into account each clientโ€™s unique circumstances and needs.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques and approaches to encourage open communication and healing.
  • Monitor clients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes and align with clients' evolving needs.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including other mental health specialists and medical professionals, to create comprehensive intervention strategies that promote overall wellness.
  • Provide follow-up communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding the care of clients who may be hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any concerns that arise.
  • Identify and actively work to mitigate any behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing education and support to clients and their families.
  • Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and strategies to support their loved ones effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include a diverse range of individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. You will have the opportunity to work with various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, offering integrated care and collaborative recovery plans that address the complexities of mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, ideally within an outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, specifically systems such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with clients facing complex co-occurring conditions, including physical health challenges and substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Extensive knowledge of psychotropic medications prescribed by physicians, including their effects and implications on client care.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for conveying complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, showcasing a genuine concern for clients' well-being and a patient-centered approach.
Compensation and Benefits

We value our employees and offer an attractive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus. Our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits to support your physical and mental well-being.
