Mercy Vale Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team. This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while being part of a highly collaborative and supportive team. • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the mental health status of clients during initial consultations, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and interviews.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that reflect clients' goals and therapeutic needs, focusing on evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions—both individual and group—to provide clients with effective coping strategies, emotional support, and the skills necessary to navigate challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and refer clients to additional resources as needed.
• Document all interactions and progress in EHR systems accurately and timely to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and improve the quality of care.

Our counselors engage with a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health issues. We prioritize cultural sensitivity and are dedicated to addressing the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience working with diverse populations.
• A comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a safe and trusting environment for clients.

• Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Training in crisis intervention techniques and the ability to manage emergencies effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
• Experience working in a community health setting or familiar with the unique dynamics of underserved populations.
